I just recently purchased Quality Inn hotel in Dundee, I contacted Hicks Laundry Equipment company which my friends and business partners had excellent experience with in the past, but unfortunate they cannot service the Hotel Area. However they referred me to this company, and I contacted them and they put me in touch with Mr. Russ Harper. I met with Mr. Harper at the hotel, and he came across as trustworthy and easy to work with.
Mr. Russ Harper is a scam artist and a deceiver along with his staff they will say anything to earn your business and after they get your money they switch. they are not honorable. Thank God somebody will take him to court shortly and I will provide court document on file soon.
I was shocked to receive a call from Mr. Harper this morning, where he informed me that I have to pay $400 for a part to be able to get one machine working. I told him that I'm willing to split the cost of the part with him, but i will not be happy because there is no service order being discussed or signed. What was even more shocking is that Mr. Harper informed me that he's going to bill me for labor, which have never been discussed!! And he accused me of asking for a free service!!! which is outrageous because this wasn't free service, it was a condition as part of the new machine purchase quote, of approximately $9,500
I Hope I will get my $1000 refunded without any further escalation, I will keep you guys posted in the near future.
Mr. Harper called me next day and told me that we have a deal, and that he's sending his service guy to try to salvage one out of the 3 washers and in the meantime he asked me to give the service guy the $1000 down payment, which is the down payment agreed on according to Mr. Harper quote. The service guy showed up, I paid him the down payment in good faith in spite that he was not able to fix any of the machines.
I don't trust this company to work with, and I feel that I have been bait and switch. Now he has my $1000, and I informed him that I'm not going to purchase the machine through him nor will I want to do any service with him or his company and accordingly I need my $1000 down payment be refunded.
Mr. Harper provided me with a quote to purchase a new EWR RIGID-MOUNT 200-G OPL WASHER EWR60M2, and agreed to haul away the existing 3 washers and assess the existing 3 dryers. After receiving the quote I told him that I will be interested and agreed to the quote if he agrees to salvage one of the 3 washers and haul away the other 2 instead of the haul away the 3 at no additional charges. Mr. Harper told me that he needs to check with his service guy and get back to me in the next day.
